Can you believe it? I'm eighteen years old.
I rememebr being a little girl and saying to myself, "I wonder what I'll be like when I'm 18? What will I look like? Will I still have a crush on *insert name here*?" haha
Well I no longer have a crush on that particular person, haven't for many years now, but I have discovered a lot about me.
I changed a lot when I was seventeen. Whether the changes were good or bad vary on each person I know, but I can admit that I had my moments of extreme bitchiness. Again, whether I had the right to be that way depends on the point of view from different people in my life. I used to think I had the right to act that way, now I know that I could have toned it down a bit.
Either way, I've grown up a lot, made things right with a few old friends and now I'm feeling a lot better.
Sometimes I still have dreams that haunt me and I hate it but I'm really hoping that will stop...
Eighteen. Wow.
You know there's this show called "18 to life". Its about these two 18 year olds named Jessie and Tom. They've been neighbours for 12 years, best friends for just as long, and started dating when they were older. One day they were playing truth or dare, and Tom picked dare. What did Jessie dare him to do?
Propose.
"Propose what?" He said.
"Propose, propose." She said, and he understood. He seemed very shocked at first but then walked over to a water bottle on the ground claiming that it was returnable.
Jessie was a bit surprised, saying, "you know I'm KIDDING right? You and me, married!? Thats insane."
While she was ranting, she never noticed that he took the plastic ring off the top of the water bottle, so when he turned around and actually proposed, one knee and all, she laughed nervously and said "almost had me there!" he looked at her seriously and said
"No joke, Jess."
So yes. I'm obsessed with that show. It's so cute, and very relatable in a way to teenagers because they go through all these problems, like finding a place to live, jobs, school, learning to drive, all that jazz.
Of course their parents were against the marriage because they were only 18, but thats understandable for most parents to act that way.
Why am I telling you this? I could have a reason, then again I could just be ranting about this great show simply because its a great show. That's up to you.
Anyways I'm off to clean my room and do my laundry. Yaaaaay >_>
Til we meet again,
~Heather
P.S, I love you all
